Our Employees Say...

Ever since Doug Cryderman started Douglas Electric in 1975, we’ve been a family. We want employees to enjoy their jobs, enjoy each other, and enjoy working with customers. The electrician wearing the tool belt is just as important as the job leader or company president.

That belief is one of many reasons customers have looked to Douglas Electric more than 30 years.

Here’s how Douglas Electric staff members describe their company:

I love my job. There's a great atmosphere here. The people in charge know what they're doing, and they care about us, not only as employees, but as family. We deliver what customers need. Once we start working with a customer, we're usually in with them for good.
Rob Page, service technician

"It’s a people company, with a good work environment. I’ve worked for other contractors, and they weren’t interested in repeat business.  That changes the whole dynamic.  At Douglas Electric, repeat customers are the goal."
– Darius Varner, vice president – marketing

"We’re a family here. They always treat me with respect.  There’s always an opportunity here to learn and better myself."
– Jerry Sawicki, division manager, safety manager & training coordinator

Douglas Electric has steady work for its employees. We're always adding new clients, plus I've worked with many of the same customers for all of my 10+ years. Customers know we don't work just for speed; they know we push quality first and foremost.
Chris Seals, foreman

"Communication is key.  We know what’s happening on all of our jobs, all day.  We stay in contact with each other and keep things moving for the customers.  We’re high energy.  Customers see that.  They see our professional commitment to each other and to them."
Dave Mendus, warehouse manager

Douglas Electric treats its employees well, and we deliver a good work ethic in return. I've worked the same site for 16 years. We want our customers to recognize us. And we want to know them well, so when they need service, we can respond quickly.
Roger Gee, field supervisor

We're given the autonomy to do the job the way we see it needs to be done. We have the freedom to make decisions on site. Sometimes that means taking a little longer, because the results will be better. It's about meeting our own high standards.
Rob Zuhorski, foreman

It's rewarding and exciting to be a part of a growing company. They value my skills, my opinions, and my ideas. They foster the feeling that we're all part of something big.

– Pam Houston, office manager
